Star & Crescent Moon CaféThe name “Star and Crescent Moon” represents a symbol for the new beginning in Texas that was sought by the ancestors of Lutcher Stark. This symbol was used by the Lutcher & Moore Lumber Company that was co-founded by H.J. Lutcher Stark’s grandfather, and it has since become the insignia for the Stark Foundation, the non-profit organization that was established in 1961 by Lutcher Stark and that continues his philanthropic legacy through its programs, including Shangri La.
