Join us for the
24th Annual Community Trash-Off
presented by Invista.
It’s Trash-Off time once again!
Orange County residents are encouraged to take pride in the community and help clean up trash from area neighborhoods and waterways. Join us for a morning of good CLEAN fun!
Cleaning stations are given to groups on a first-come, first-served basis. If there’s a certain station where your team would like to work, please let us know and register in advance!
The 24th annual Community Trash-Off is scheduled for Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This event is supported by the City of Orange, Texas, and organized by Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center; headquarters are at the City of Orange Boat Ramp – Simmons Drive.
Gather your team to help clean the streets and waterways of the Orange, West Orange and Pinehurst communities. For participants, lunch is provided.
Teams will consist of 3-5 volunteers and will be assigned to an area to clean up. Clean-up stations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups are encouraged to sign up early. On the day of the event, team leaders can pick up supplies at the park for use at their assigned clean-up sites.
Since the inception of this program in 1995, many groups have worked to do their part in keeping our community a cleaner place. In the past 20+ years, this event has collected nearly 200,000 pounds of trash to help beautify the area and protect the environment.
