Join the Stark Museum of Art for a special screening of the award-winning documentary film, The Million Dollar Duck, on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. This one-hour documentary takes a close look at what it means to compete in the Federal Duck Stamp Contest. Whether you are an art, conservation, or duck enthusiast, you will be in awe of the high stakes for artists who compete in this annual contest. Following the screening, Adam Grimm, two-time Federal Duck Stamp Contest winner, will join museum staff virtually for a panel discussion with Calvin Carter, 2013 Federal Duck Stamp Finalist and Port Neches-Groves High School Art Teacher. A reception will follow the film presentation and panel discussion. This program is presented in conjunction with the special exhibition Conservation Art: Federal Duck Stamps and Prints on view through January 4, 2020. Admission to the Stark Museum of Art is always FREE.
