Pysanky and Patterns!Explore the use of color, shape and line in this one hour looking and making experience that studies the Ukrainian art of Pysanky! Traditional Ukranian Pysanky artists created folk art on eggshells with the careful use of symbols. Many colors, shapes and patterns have specific meanings. First grade students will connect history to the arts through a pattern-making activity that also explores the use of color, shape, line, repetition and symbols. This program is available only for 1st grade classrooms in Spring 2016.
