Stark Museum of Art Scout Programs

The Stark Museum of Art offers a number of badge and patch programs for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. During these programs, scouts will either earn or complete the majority of requirements for badges. Programs are $10.00 per scout and $5.00 per chaperone. A minimum of eight scouts per group is required to schedule a program along with two weeks advanced notice.

Boy-Scout-with-Jen-Weaving-IMG_5148-WEB Boy Scouts Merit Badge Programs:
Stark Museum of Art Educators are certified merit badge counselors in Art, Textile, Pottery, and Communication. Merit Badge programs are day-long programs, and troops should pack a lunch for a half-hour lunch break.
The Museum offers merit badge workshops for the following areas:
  • Art
  • Textile
  • Pottery
  • Communication (with The W.H. Stark House)
Girls-Scout-with-Sherrill-Weaving-IMG_5510-WEB Girl Scouts Badges:
The Stark Museum of Art offers a wide range of programs for Girl Scouts of all ages. Programs for Girl Scouts are approximately 3 hours and may include badges. (Blended Girl Scout troops can participate in badge programs, but additional chaperones are required. Girl Scouts ineligible for the badge will receive a fun patch for their participation.)
The Museum offers the following badge programs:
  • Brownie – Painting
  • Brownie – Potter
  • Junior – Jeweler
  • Junior – Drawing
  • Cadette – Book Artist
  • Senior – Textile Artist
Stark Museum of Art Patch
During this two hour program, scout groups tour the Museum and participate in a studio art experience. For completing this program, all scouts are awarded a Stark Museum of Art patch. This program is ideal for elementary aged scouts.
Stark Museum of Art Patch programs are $5.00 per scout and $5.00 per chaperone. A minimum of eight scouts per group is required to schedule a program along with two weeks advanced notice.
